The countdown is almost coming to a close. For a while now, UFC fans have been counting down the days for Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler to put the gloves on and meet inside of the Octagon. Straight up, both of these fighters don't like one another and they can't wait to land some huge punches in this bout. So, who will come out on top? Entering the main event, Conor McGregor is a slight favorite over Michael Chandler at UFC 303. Will the Irishman get the job done?
It has been nearly three years since McGregor has fought in the UFC. His last bout came in July 2021 against Dustin Poirier, with him losing that match. As a matter of fact, McGregor has lost three of his last four fights. It's been rough to see the end of his career go so poorly, but he has the chance to make a big statement by taking down Chandler. McGregor is quite confident ahead of the fight too, which only makes things more intriguing.

"The call has been made and we're a go," McGregor said on The MMA Hour not long ago. "This means this summer, the Mac is back. So with that, I'm happy with my time I've got in the lead-up to it, I'm happy with where I'm at, and everything just works out in God's name. And I'm ecstatic where I'm at. I've got great news the other day."
According to the best UFC betting sites, which includes the reliable Bovada review, McGregor holds -110 UFC betting odds to take down Chandler in Las Vegas later this month. Chandler has an upset on his mind, as he has been given +125 UFC betting odds. As we mentioned above, the two really don't like one another, which has people even more excited for things to go down. McGregor is expected to post a win, but we're going in a different direction here.

Michael Chandler is our pick to beat Conor McGregor at UFC 303
Call it a hunch, but Michael Chandler is our pick to beat Conor McGregor at UFC 303. Similar to McGregor, Chandler has lost three of his last four fights, but it sure looks like his mind is in a much better place leading up to the bout. Recently, a video went viral of McGregor partying at a pub and dancing the night away until the early hours of the morning. Chandler on the other hand has been a beast in the gym.
We haven't seen Chandler in the octagon since 2022, but he has stayed in fantastic shape and no one can question that he has a bit more strength than McGregor. Chandler has a dangerous right hook, which would send McGregor to the ground with one clean shot. Something tells us that Chandler will be ready to put on a show in Sin City and remind everyone of how dominant he can be. He's also feeling quite strong ahead of this primetime battle.
We do the work and we let the work do the talking. #UFC303

"I don’t need to be getting into a firefight with a guy who has got a bigger rifle than me. Right? I think I hit harder than he does," Chandler said of his upcoming fight with McGregor. "I think my, I think I would venture to say his time out of the cage has lent itself to his timing not being what it used to be, his movement not being what it used to be, his reflexes not being what they used to be."
As we mentioned above, the top-rated sportsbooks, including the reliable BetOnline review, have McGregor listed as the favorite. However, throughout his career, Chandler has been able to post some head-turning upset wins and we think another one will be on the way in late June. Chandler is a stud and he certainly has what it takes to close things out early against McGregor. We think that's exactly what's going to happen.
There are some great undercards for the McGregor-Chandler fight
Another thing to keep in mind too when preparing to make your bets is that there are some great undercards for the McGregor-Chandler fight. This includes the showdown between Jamahal Hill and Carlos Ulberg in the light heavyweight division. This meeting is being dubbed as the co-main event and for good reason.
Both Hill and Ulberg are animals inside of the octagon and they have lethal power. As excited as everyone is for McGregor and Chandler to go to war, Hill and Ulberg are also going to have a lot of people off their seats. This has the ability to go the distance and we expect a ton of big-time haymakers to be landed.
Per the oddsmakers, Hill has been given -125 odds, while Ulberg has been set at +105. This tells you that things should be quite close. Will Hill be able to run away with things, or will Ulberg also be able to post an upset? It indeed will be close, but we're going with Hill as our pick.
