"Jon Jones is going to fight at Madison Square Garden in November," Dana White said when announcing things. "And then if he wins, or Stipe wins, then we see what happens next, you know. Who will retire, whatever. Do I think Stipe will retire? I do. I do think he will. But you never know."
According to the best sports betting sites, Jones is the favorite for this one, as he has been given -110 UFC betting odds to post a win per the best UFC betting sites. Will Jon Jones be able to post a knockout at UFC 309?
A big question a lot of people have on their minds right now is will Jon Jones be able to post a knockout at UFC 309? Jones has unreal power and he's going to look to land a haymaker or two against Miocic. Miocic also has unreal power, so there's going to be plenty of people keeping an eye on him delivering some powerful punches as well.
The thing with Jones, though, is that he's an incredibly smart fighter and he's going to know better than to put himself in a position to be impacted by a big blow. He has a ton of respect for Miocic, which is why he's going to be careful on both attack and defense. Jones knows it's going to be a tough battle, but he's ready to make a statement here too.
Derrick Lewis takes issue with the "complete disrespect" to Jon Jones in UFC's pound-for-pound rankings.

Per the oddsmakers, Jones has been given +150 odds to win this matchup by a knockout. Miocic himself has +750 odds to win by TKO, but we just don't see that happening. This matchup could come down to a decision, but again, we think Jones is going to win and we also think he'll be doing so via a knockout. We're going with a TKO victory for Jones as our pick.
Michael Chandler is hoping to make a statement in the co-main event
Elsewhere for this exciting night at Madison Square Garden, Michael Chandler is hoping to make a statement in the co-main event. Chandler is all set to take on Charles Oliveira and people are quite excited for two of these veterans of the game to put the gloves on. This should also be a back-and-forth matchup, but Chandler is feeling confident in himself.
Originally people were hopeful that Chandler would be taking on Conor McGregor, but things have been delayed there. Despite that, Chandler is fired up to remind people of how strong he can be, this time against Oliveira.
āItās a huge blessing to be considered for the Madison Square Garden card. They donāt just throw anybody on the Madison Square Garden card,ā Chandler said in an interview with the New York Post. āThe UFC puts guys and gals on the fight card that are going to put on a great show."
Per the oddsmakers, Chandler is the favorite for this one, as he has -110 betting odds. Oliveira is hoping to post an upset here, but it's going to be a tough challenge for him. We're going with Chandler as our pick, as we think he'll be able to get things done early. Don't be surprised if a first-round victory is posted by him in this one.
