NHL Calder Race

The Calder Trophy is kind of like Forrest Gump’s box of chocolates. You just never know who’s going to get it.
Last season’s winner, Chicago Blackhawks forward Artemi Panarin, barely got under the qualification. A veteran of the KHL, he was 24 yers old. To be eligible for the Calder, players must be 26 or younger as of Sept. 15 of their rookie NHL season. To remain eligible, players can’t have played more than 25 games in the NHL or more than six games in each of the two previous seasons.
