A big question that a lot of people have leading up to this one is how many rounds will the Alvarez vs. Berlanga fight last? To be honest, a lot of analysts think that Alvarez is going to wipe the floor with Berlanga and get things done within the first five rounds. From our chair, however, we think that'd be a major surprise. While Alvarez is a heavy favorite, Berlanga also has what it takes to make this an interesting one.
Berlanga is quite shifty and he is known for solid defense. Not only that, but he packs a mean punch, which could catch Alvarez off guard. Unfortunately for him, Alvarez also has spectacular defense and his power is tough to match for the weight class. Yes, the Alvarez-Berlanga fight is the headliner, but Lara and Garcia are two quality fighters who will be ready to impress in front of so many people watching at the stadium, and watching from all over the globe. So, which one of these two will dominate the other?
Entering the bout, Lara is considered a strong favorite. He's been quite impressive himself throughout his career, posting a 30-3-3 record. As for Garcia, he's 37-3-0. This is going to be a fun battle and one that could go either way. In the end, though, we think Lara is going to do just enough to win via a split decision. That's right, we're going with Lara as our pick.
