There were some great games on the schedule, of course including the one between Kansas City and Baltimore. In the end, KC was able to survive with a 27-20 win. Thanks to that victory, the Chiefs remain Super Bowl favorites after an impressive Week 1 showing. Is a three-peat on the way?
Kansas City has won the title in back-to-back years. Now, they're hoping to make NFL history by capturing the Lombardi Trophy three years in a row. If that ends up happening, Patrick Mahomes is going to play a major role in things. He looked great vs. the Ravens and more of the same will be needed the rest of the campaign. Mahomes continues to be without question the best player in the NFL.

Call it a gut feeling, but the 49ers are our pick to win the 2024 Super Bowl. In Week 1, San Francisco took on the New York Jets for some Monday Night Football action. The expectation was that Aaron Rodgers and Co. would be able to keep things close. The opposite turned out to be the case, as the 49ers were able to dominate. It was a step backwards for Rodgers and the rest of the New York squad.
What made this win even more impressive for SF was the fact that All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey was held out of the game with a calf injury. He's also expected to miss Week 2, which is a blow for this offense. However, Brock Purdy, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk still help form one of the more impressive offenses in the game. Not only that, but the SF defense is among the best in the game too.

I felt like if we could just get a first down we’d be rolling. But we had those three and outs which hurt us. I think a lot of stuff is correctable.

He can hurt an opposing defense with his strong right arm and also his impressive wheels. Baltimore's defense is impressive as well.
Elsewhere, teams like the Dolphins, Cowboys, Packers, Jaguars, Lions, Jets and Texans are hoping to make a statement too. Of those squads, we think the Dolphins and Cowboys have the best chance to surprise a lot of people. The Dolphins are looking to post their first postseason win since 2000 and this could be the year where they get things done. It will be interesting to see if that happens or not.
