Goal scorer EPL future prop bets to take
Picking players to score in Premier League matches can be difficult, but this weekend there are a trio of stars who I believe will find their names on the score sheet before the 90-minutes are up.
Which players will probably score in the Premier League

Wayne Rooney to Score for Manchester United vs. Liverpool
When Wayne Rooney scored in Manchester United’s 4-0 win over Reading in the FA Cup on January 7, it took his tally to 249 goals for the Red Devils. That goal put Rooney level for first with the legendary Bobby Charlton in the Manchester United all-time leading scorer charts.
The goal against Reading was only Rooney’s fourth in 28 appearances in all competitions this season and the England captain hasn’t scored in the league since the opening day of the season, but he has been playing in a midfield role, and doesn't start much anymore.
This weekend, Rooney and his United teammates take on Liverpool and who better to break the goal record against than the team who are the arch-rivals of Rooney’s favorite team, Everton. Rest assured, Rooney will be going all out to score in this game and it is highly likely that he will take the penalty kick should they be rewarded one.
Rooney is +500 to score first and +175 to score during the 90-minutes. Both odds are from Bovada.
Christian Benteke to Score for Crystal Palace vs. West Ham United
Christian Benteke has found the back of the net eight times in 18 league games for Crystal Palace this season, helping to justify his £27 million transfer fee from Liverpool.
The giant Belgian has failed to score in his last five Premier League outings, but Palace have played Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal during that period. This weekend’s fixture against west Ham United is a different ball game altogether.
West Ham have conceded 35 goals in 20 games this season, 16 of which conceded at home. The last time Benteke scored against West Ham was in February 2013 when he opened the scoring for Aston Villa in a 2-1 home win. Expect him to add to his goals against the Hammers this weekend.
Benteke is +550 to score first and +175 to score at any time.
Jermain Defoe to Score for Sunderland vs. Stoke City
Sunderland have only scored 19 goals in the Premier League this season and striker Jermain Defoe has netted 11 of them, which makes it fair to say everything good about the Black Cats seems to go through the diminutive frontman.
While Sunderland are struggling, Defoe is flourishing and has three goals in his past three games, including a brace against Liverpool.
Stoke have the 11th best defense in the Premier League away from home courtesy of conceding 19 goals in 10 games and only keeping two clean sheets. Stoke have let the opposition score three or more goals in four away games this season and while I don’t expect a glut of goals from Sunderland, I do expect Defoe to justify the +160 odds on him scoring in this game before the referee blows the final whistle.
