In the blink of an eye, things have changed at the top when it comes to Wimbledon. For a while, the assumption was that Jannik Sinner would cruise to a title win and that nothing would get in the way of him making noise. However, after he looked less than impressive in the second round, things have changed a bit. With that said, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are the favorites to win Wimbledon 2024, as they now have the same No. 1 odds to come out on top.
This just goes to show how close things could be the rest of the way. Sinner indeed had some issues in the second round, which is something that a lot of people were quite stunned by. As for Alcaraz, he has a third-round showdown on the way against Francis Tiafoe. Alcaraz is the No. 3 tennis player in the world and he's hoping to post a memorable win. As for Sinner, he's hoping to post the rough showing in Round 2 behind him soon.

"First of all we are very good friends," Sinner said following his close win in the second round over Matteo Berrettini. "We played Davis Cup together and we practiced together, so it is very very tough we had to face in the second round in such an important tournament. Today was a very high-level match. In three tie-breaks I got a little bit lucky and I'll take it for today."
According to the best sports betting sites, which includes the reliable Bovada sportsbook review, both Alcaraz and Sinner hold +200 tennis betting odds to win Wimbledon. This is already proving to be a Grand Slam tournament to remember, as this could go neck and neck between the two superstars. A lot of people think Sinner still has what it takes to post a title win, but we're not feeling that way anymore.
WHAT A WIN!
World #1 Jannik Sinner passes a big second round test against 2021 runner up Matteo Berrettini 7-6(3), 7-6(4), 2-6, 7-6(4) on Centre Court.

Carlos Alcaraz is our pick to win Wimbledon this summer
With things heating up over in London, it's safe to say that Carlos Alcaraz is our pick to win Wimbledon this summer. Alcaraz has looked strong so far and people can't wait to see what he'll be able to get done the rest of the way. It's important to remember that Alcaraz knows what it takes to win major tourneys like this and he's ready to make a splash in London once again. It's what he was able to do last July too.
At Wimbledon 2023, Alcaraz stunned a lot of people when he was able to take down the rest of the field and lift the silverware high into the sky after winning the title. It's unheard of for someone to go back-to-back, but that's what Alcaraz has in mind. With Sinner being so focused on taking him down, though, it only adds to the intrigue of how the rest of the tourney can play out. Alcaraz wants to make some noise and there's a lot of confidence in him doing so.

“I want to be one of the best in history. I am dreaming that big,” Alcaraz told CNN during a recent interview leading up to the tournament. "I want to sit at the same table as the ‘Big Three’ - Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer - legends of our sport.”
It will be interesting to see how things play out there. With both Alcaraz and Sinner holding their +200 sports betting odds, this really could come down to the wire. A lot of people are hoping that they can face off too, which would be downright brilliant to watch. Sooner rather than later, we'll see if that will come to fruition or not. Only time will tell if that happens or not, but we're no doubt going with Alcaraz as our pick to come out on top.
Will Coco Gauff be able to win the women's tournament at Wimbledon?
On the other side of things, will Coco Gauff be able to win the women's tournament at Wimbledon? This is a question that a lot of folks have on their minds. As much interest as there is for the men, things are quite even for the women, as they'll all be ready to put on a show too. Per the top tennis betting sites, Gauff holds +200 odds, but Mia Swiatek is right behind her at +250. This just goes to show how even things can be.
Gauff and Swiatek are already turning heads on the grass and more of the same will be on the way over the next week or so. So, will it be Gauff or Swiatek to come out on top? We can't wait to find out and a final featuring the two of them would be epic. We'll find out soon enough if that will go down, but regardless, we're going with Gauff as our pick to win the title.
