The over for goals should hit between the Galaxy and Red Bulls
When taking a look at the offense for both of these teams, we're confident in saying we think the over for goals should hit between the Galaxy and Red Bulls. Per the oddsmakers, the over/under has been set at 2.5 goals, with -110 soccer betting odds for both. Both of these squads have tremendous defenses, which could complicate things on the pitch.
However, the star power on offense is something that can't be overlooked. For the Galaxy, the team is no question led on offense by the brilliant play of Dejan Joveljic, Gabriel Pec and others. Meanwhile for the Red Bulls, they have some quality talent on offense too, led by Lewis Morgan, Emil Forsberg and others. The Red Bulls are hoping to make a statement in this one.

“It’s clear when you win against the champions from last season, Columbus, that you have more confidence in your quality, your performance, and you believe,” Red Bulls head coach Sandro Schwarz said after the victory in the Eastern Conference Final. It starts always with the result, but you have to prepare the result very seriously and very professionally.”
Entering the final this weekend, we have a feeling that there are going to be plenty of goals scored in this contest. Our pick is for the Galaxy to win 2-1, which would result in three goals being posted. This would of course mean that the over is going to hit. We're going to have to wait and see if things play out this way, but we're surely going with the over as our pick.
Ricard Puig will miss the MLS Cup Final due to a torn ACL
In some not so great news for the Galaxy, it has been confirmed that Ricard Puig will miss the MLS Cup Final due to a torn ACL. There's no way to sugarcoat things here for the Galaxy, as this is a major loss for them. Puig has been a stud in the middle of the field for them, delivering some quality passes.
Not only that, but he has done a tremendous job in finding the back of the net too. Other players on the Galaxy are now going to have to step up in a massive way with Puig not able to play in this game with the title on the line. The Galaxy coaches know too that they'll need to construct a great game plan with him being off the field.
As you might have been able to guess, Puig is absolutely heartbroken knowing that he can't help out his teammates trying to bring the cup home. He has been showered with love on social media ever since the announcement dropped. His teammates will surely keep him in mind when they go to battle against the Red Bulls for the MLS Cup glory.
