Are you ready for yet another thrilling Formula 1 race to arrive? Last weekend, people were treated to an incredible event in Qatar, as Doha hosted the Qatar Grand Prix. "When he's had the quickest car, he dominated races," Norris said on Verstappen's title-winning 2024. "When he's not in the quickest car, he's still been just behind us and almost winning the races anyway. So he's just not had a bad side to him. He's not had any bad races the whole year. You know, his worst was like a fifth or something. He just drove as Max has always driven, which is perfectly. Can't fault him anywhere."

Max Verstappen is our pick to win the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
While we do think things are going to be close here, Max Verstappen is our pick to win the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Verstappen has been on fire this season, which included him coming out on top in Qatar over the weekend. This just goes to show you how great he has been. Again, he's going to want to keep things hot before the calendar turns to 2025.
Verstappen was able to win things in Qatar by more than six seconds, which is impressive in its own right. There's once again a deep field for this race in Abu Dhabi, as countless drivers are going to look to make things tough for Verstappen. Norris isn't the only one who wants to bring Verstappen down, something he knows all about. Still, Verstappen will be calm for this one.

"Most of the first stint, I felt quite good in the first two sectors," Verstappen said after winning in Qatar. "But then in the final sector Lando already started pushing a bit more from the beginning of the race, and I was managing probably a little bit more. At one point, because he tried to close the gap, I had to push also harder in the last sector."
As we mentioned above, both Verstappen and Norris hold the top odds at +220 to win this race. We have a feeling it could be neck-and-neck down the stretch, which is only going to make things interesting late. However, with all of that said, we have a feeling that Verstappen is going to find a way to win. We're no doubt rocking with him as our pick.
There are other contenders to keep an eye on at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
While there's a ton of focus on Norris and Verstappen for this one, keep in mind that there are other contenders to keep an eye on at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The list of course includes Charles Leclerc, Oscar Piastri, Lewis Hamilton and others.
With this being the last race of the year, everyone is going to want to have a strong performance to close things out. Our expectation is that Verstappen will win the race, but Norris isn't going to be the only one to give him a run for this money.
Leclerc, Piastri and Hamilton all have what it takes to post impressive times. Who knows, they could even sneak up late and make things interesting for both Norris and Verstappen.
