We are cruising in the WNBA season and as you might have been able to expect, several teams are standing out as serious contenders to push for a title. The list includes Minnesota, who have been a ton of fun to watch thus far this campaign. On Friday night, the team will face Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever. As things stand, the Lynx are big favorites over the Fever in an exciting WNBA showdown.
Which side will come out on top? As of this writing, Minnesota is 19-8 on the year and proving to be on the best teams in the league. Things haven't been perfect for the Fever, as they're struggled a bit. However, Clark, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, is really starting to find her footing. The Minnesota defense will hope to keep her in check.

"When I can get going early, that’s when I really settle into the game and feel comfortable," Clark said after a recent win. "My third quarter wasn’t great but I kind of found a way to respond, especially there at the end, the way we closed the third quarter was super important going into the fourth, I think we went on a little run there."

That's right, the Fever are our pick to take down the Lynx on Friday night. Minnesota is the home team, so things of course are going to be tough for Indiana, but we are big-time fans of Clark and think that a huge game will be on the way for her. This is also a great chance for her to make a statement and remind everyone that she's a generational talent.
For a while now, Clark has been deemed as the future of the sport. However, the start to her rookie year didn't go as planned, as the jump to the pros proved to be quite difficult. The good news here, though, is that Clark has been able to get more comfortable. She's averaging nearly 18 points per game, with an impressive 8.3 assists per contest.

"I think I'm just getting to know my teammates and playing with them, it’s just a comfortability, it was going to take me a little time to get used to," Clark said in a recent interview. "It was hard to adjust, and once I kind of found my groove so far, we’ve just been getting better and better.”

Minnesota is a team that's being taken seriously as well, though the Fever aren't expected to be in contention. Indiana is in the middle of a rebuild, but the good news for them is that they have someone like Clark ready to help get them where they need to be. The Fever hold +2000 odds to win the WNBA Finals, which should not be a stunner, especially with so much youth being featured throughout their roster.
As for the Liberty and Aces, they're neck and neck there. New York holds +150 odds, while Las Vegas is at +165. This just goes to show how tight things should be the rest of the season. Fans are dreaming of Vegas and NY meeting with the title on the line down the road. That'd surely be a wild series.
