Best Betting Picks of NFL Week 13

Best Betting Picks of NFL Week 13

Can you believe the 2018 NFL regular season has already reached week 13? With two-thirds of the season down, the NFL playoff race is starting to turn red hot. These are the three best bets to make ahead of a pivotal week 13!

Before we jump into our picks, big thanks to Bovada for the below NFL odds. Check them out for all your football betting needs!

Over/under 53 points: New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys

Two of the hottest teams in the NFL meet at "Jerry World" in a game that'll be must-watch television. New Orleans has strung together ten consecutive wins, making them Super Bowl favorites alongside the Rams and Chiefs. The remarkable run is also earning Drew Brees strong consideration for MVP honors. At the ripe age of 39, Brees has a career-high 127.3 passer rating with 29 touchdowns and two interceptions.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys look like a new team since acquiring wide receiver Amari Cooper. They've won three in a row and Dak Prescott once again resembles his 2016 version that led Dallas to 13 wins.

We really like the over here. It's almost a given the Saints will score at least 30 points, as they've done in nine of 11 games this year. Dallas, with the big-play potential of Cooper, should be able to keep pace, too. Cooper has reignited the play-action pass with Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. That giant scoreboard at Jerry World will be busy come Thursday night.

Pick: Over 53 points

Los Angeles Chargers at Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.5)

Another showdown with big playoff implications here. The Steelers enter at 7-3-1, while the Chargers are 8-3. Both are grappling for a first-round bye in the postseason with Kansas City and New England.

It's become a common belief with bettors that the Steelers are practically invincible at home. However, we're not buying it. After all, they've already lost twice at home this year. Moreover, Los Angeles have proven to be road warriors, winning four of five away from home.

If you're looking for an upset special of the week, look no further than the Bolts. Due to Los Angeles' hot start, it's easy to forget they've done it mostly without Joey Bosa. A foot injury sidelined the stud defensive lineman for the season's first nine games. Unfortunately for Ben Roethlisberger, Bosa is back and looks to be in top shape after a two-sack effort last game out.

Big Ben has struggled against ferocious defensive lines the past two weeks in the form of Jacksonville and Denver, but with Bosa and Melvin Ingram, the Chargers duo is the best pass-rush combo Roethlisberger has faced yet.

Pick: Los Angeles (+3.5)

Arizona Cardinals at Green Bay Packers (-14.5)

Admittedly, not much is on the line in this one. With four losses in their past five games, Green Bay's playoff hopes are on life support, whereas the Cardinals are gunning for the first overall draft pick in 2019.

Nonetheless, we love this line. The Packers shouldn't be favored by 14-plus points against anyone at this point. They're ravaged by injuries, especially on the offensive line, wide receiver corp, and secondary.

Furthermore, the Packers tend to play to the level of their competition. Somehow they'll push the Rams to the brink on the road, then turn around and barely beat San Francisco at Lambeau Field. In the five games they've been favored this year, Green Bay is 2-3 against the spread. Arizona should keep this within two scores.

Pick: Arizona (+14.5)
