We're of course talking about the All-Star Game, with stars from the National League and American League ready to put on a show for everyone to enjoy. Having said that, the NL is favored to top the AL in the 2024 MLB All-Star Game. Who will come out on top?
This is a game that everyone looks forward to every July. Not only is the All-Star Game full of drama, but the Home-Run Derby is watched by millions of fans across the planet. It's a great lead-up to the main show. As for the ASG, the stands are going to be packed for this one, as you already know that great pitching displays and power from the dish will be on full display. We expect plenty of runs to be scored.

Each year, fans vote for who they think are the best players in the game and those same fans are hopeful that some incredible hits can be posted. This year, the All-Star Game is being played at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Keep in mind that the Rangers won the World Series last year, so that makes the 2024 All-Star Game even more memorable. With that said, the American League will be hoping to defend the AL turf, as Texas is a member of the AL West.
According to the best sports betting sites, which includes the reliable Bovada sportsbook review, the National League currently holds -152 baseball betting odds to win the All-Star Game. The American League is hoping to make some noise too, though, as they hold +125 MLB betting odds. This game could be pretty close, and it could go either way, but we're going with the National League as our pick. It will be interesting to see if that happens or not.

The over should hit between the AL and NL for the All-Star Game
It goes without saying, but the over should hit between the AL and NL for the All-Star Game. Both of these offenses are going to feature a ton of power. While the pitching for both sides is going to be electric, we can't forget about the home-run potential there's going to be for this game - matter of fact, that's usually the case for every All-Star Game in July. Yeah, the hitters are quite impressive to say the least.
Some of the big names for the AL include Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Yordan Alvarez and others. Meanwhile in the National League, the list includes Bryce Harper, Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and others. Judge is the headline for the AL and rightfully so. He's currently leading the majors with 34 home runs and 85 RBI. People in Texas would love nothing more than to see him go yard on Tuesday night in primetime.

“Hopefully those 34 homers came in a lot of wins,” Judge said with a smile after he was informed that he set the new first-half Yankees mark for most HRs. “That’s what it’s all about. Don’t really try to focus on our stats, personal stats. It’s just about trying to get wins.”
Per the top MLB betting sites, the over/under for the All-Star Game has been set at 8.5 runs, with -110 betting odds for both. With so much firepower for the two teams, we have a hard time thinking that eight runs or less are going to be scored. There's just too much talent on the field. Because of that, we're 100 percent going with the over as our pick. We'd be downright stunned if this doesn't prove to be the case.
The Dodgers are the World Series favorites at the All-Star break
One major topic of conversation for people right now is that the Dodgers are the World Series favorites at the All-Star break. This shouldn't come as a total surprise, though plenty of Yankees fans aren't too happy about that. Only about a month ago, New York was riding high and looking like the best team in baseball. However, their level of play has dropped quite a bit and they didn't look sharp to close out the first half of the season. This has led to a lot of people calling for Aaron Boone to be fired.
As for the Dodgers, this team continues to look great, with Betts, Ohtani and others leading the way. People are dreaming of the Yankees and Dodgers meeting in the World Series, though it's up in the air if that will happen or not. Players for both teams will hope to be electric at the All-Star Game in Texas, but then after that, the focus will shift to the second half of the season. We can't wait to see how things go leading up to October for both the Yankees and Dodgers.
