It's hard to argue with this, but there's surely no other better time during the calendar year to bet than on the Super Bowl. This time around, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are set to face off with the Lombardi Trophy on the line. There are countless wagers to be made for this one. With that said, the Patrick Mahomes over for yards is among the popular Super Bowl prop bets. Will he deliver?
Mahomes has been on a tear this postseason, highlighted by his performance in the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills. The expectation from a lot of people was that Josh Allen was going to out-battle Mahomes, but that simply wasn't the case. Now, Mahomes is ready to keep putting on a show, this time against the Eagles. He's ready to make history too.
Super Bowl prop bets | |||
---|---|---|---|
Mahomes over yards | -250 | -250 | -250 |
Mahomes under yards | -250 | -250 | -250 |
Barkley anytime TD | -195 | -195 | -195 |
Hurts anytime TD | -115 | -115 | -115 |
Will he end up delivering? As you think about that, you should also keep in mind that there's no better time than now to get in on the betting action. For the Super Bowl, sportsbooks like Bovada, BetOnline and others have special promotions and sign-up bonuses. Don't think twice and be sure to check out those deals leading up to kickoff.
According to the best sports betting sites, Mahomes holds -250 football betting odds to throw for more than 225 yards. With this expected to be a high-scoring game, we think that Mahomes and the Chiefs are going to focus on the aerial attack and shy away from the run game. With all of that said, we think Mahomes will look brilliant, which is why we're going with the over for his passing yards.
"Patrick Mahomes is a great kid and he's humble..
He's a phenomenal teammate and he's always complimenting his guys..
He's smart on top of that and he's a hard worker"

Will Saquon Barkley score a touchdown in the Super Bowl against the Chiefs?
A big question football fans have on their minds is will Saquon Barkley score a touchdown in the Super Bowl against the Chiefs? Barkley has always been one of the best running backs in the NFL, but he started off his career with the New York Giants and he was never able to make noise in the postseason. That has already changed in Year 1 with the Eagles.
Barkley surprised a lot of people last offseason when he left New York in free agency, especially when he then put the pen to paper with the Eagles, a hated NFC East rival. Barkley has been worth every penny Howie Roseman gave him, as he's been electric this year. In the win over the Commanders in the NFC Championship Game, he rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns.
Bucs LB Lavonte David weighs in on how to stop Saquon Barkley:

"That's why I came here," Barkley said of signing with Philly. "It was one of the first conversations I had with Howie, that's one of the conversations I had with my family. Like I said last week, I came to Philadelphia to be a part of games like this. Nothing better than a game where you can advance to the Super Bowl, so super excited about that."
Looking at things as a whole, per the NFL playoffs betting sites, Barkley holds -195 odds to score at least one touchdown in this game. The sportsbooks for the Super Bowl have also given him +325 odds to score two touchdowns. We're not so confident that we think he'll find the end zone twice, but we're definitely going with him to score at least one touchdown at -195 as our pick.
Jalen Hurts also has strong odds to score a touchdown in the Super Bowl
As you might have been able to guess, Jalen Hurts also has strong odds to score a touchdown in the Super Bowl. However, keep in mind that in this case, Hurts' betting odds are for either a rushing or receiving touchdown, not for a passing one. The reason he has such strong odds? Well, it's because of the tush-push.
You've likely seen the play before, but pretty much whenever the Eagles are down near the goal-line, the offense lines up in a formation where Hurts is lined up right behind center, Barkley or another running back is right behind him, and he's pushed into the end zone.
Defenses have had a nightmare of a time trying to prevent Hurts from scoring on this play. This is something Philly fans love, but the rest of the fanbases across the country hate. Against the Chiefs, our pick is for him to score a rushing TD via the tush-push. Book it.
